TapRoot Readiness Tool
A farm-informed tool to help you slow things down, notice what’s piling up,
and figure out next steps — on your terms.
Pilot version — Jan 2026

What TapRoot is (and isn’t)
TapRoot is a readiness and reflection tool — shaped by producers and built for people who work close to the land.
It’s not a diagnosis, assessment, or treatment.
It’s designed to help us notice what’s piling up, identify early signals of stress, and think through what helps us stay steady when pressure is high.
There’s no right way to use it. You can work through it once, return to it over time, or use only the parts that feel useful.
If at any point things feel heavier than can be managed on your own, support options are listed below.

Resources & Support
Support doesn’t always start with a phone call. Start where you already are.
Click a section to expand. The first two are open by default.
Sometimes the first step is just noticing how things are going — without explaining anything to anyone.
These are things on the farm that help steady people when pressure builds.
They’re often already part of daily life — we just don’t always name them.
There’s no right or wrong here. What helps is personal.
Farming is rarely done alone. Support often comes from people and places that are already nearby — sometimes without formal labels.
These connections matter, even when conversations aren’t about stress or mental health.
Short, real stories from people in agriculture.
Hearing how others have navigated pressure, uncertainty, and hard seasons can help normalize what you’re carrying — and remind you that you’re not the only one figuring this out.
If you’re thinking about reaching out — or checking in with someone else — these options can help make that first step easier.
You get to choose the pace, the person, and the format.
These are longer-form resources you might come back to when you have more time or space.
If you or someone else is in immediate danger or needs urgent support:
If things feel urgent, reaching out right away matters.
Your experience matters
If you used this tool — or chose not to — your feedback helps improve it for other producers.
Feedback is anonymous. Takes about 3 minutes.
